Heavy rain and thunderstorms will move through this afternoon and evening, with the threat of flash flooding, poor visibility, and wind damage from strong gusts and isolated tornadoes.  An unsettled weather pattern will continue through next week.

TODAY

A cold front will approach the region with increasing clouds through the early afternoon.  Showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and become widespread towards evening.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-70s in higher elevations, upper 70s to lower 80s over the interior, and mid to upper 80s along the I-95 corridor and Long Island.

TONIGHT

A cold front will produce waves of rain and embedded thunderstorms.  Winds will veer from the southwest to the northwest at 5 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 50s over the interior, lower to mid-60s in the suburbs, and mid to upper 60s in urban areas.

TOMORROW

High pressure will build into the region, producing scattered clouds.  Winds will veer to the northeast at 5 mph.  High temperatures will range from the upper 70s to lower 80s.

TOMORROW NIGHT

High pressure will exit the region, bringing increasing clouds and showers developing toward morning.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast.
