A tropical air mass will linger through this weekend into next week. Thunderstorms each afternoon and evening will feature the potential for torrential downpours and frequent lightning, but most storms will stay below severe levels.

Severe thunderstorms will threaten areas along and west of the I-95 corridor, with torrential downpours, frequent lightning, wind gusts between 30 and 70 mph, and small hail. Otherwise, muggy conditions will continue with winds from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will fall into the 80s and 70s throughout the region.
