Hazy, hot, and humid conditions, along with a dangerous heat index and isolated tropical thunderstorms, will be a threat through tomorrow!  A heat index well into the 100s will have a regionwide impact.  Waves of showers and thunderstorms will break the heatwave starting tomorrow night.

THIS EVENING

A trough will produce scattered clouds along with scattered thunderstorms.  The thunderstorms will be capable of intense downpours, frequent lightning, hail, and wind gusts up to 70 mph.  Urban flooding, wind damage, power outages, and poor visibility will pose threats.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the 90s and 80s.

TONIGHT

A trough will produce scattered clouds, isolated thunderstorms, and morning fog.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-70s over the interior, upper 70s to lower 80s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-80s in urban areas.

TOMORROW: FOURTH OF JULY!!

A trough will produce scattered clouds, morning fog, and isolated thunderstorms.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph. High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-90s over the interior, the mid to upper 90s along the immediate coast, and the upper 90s to mid-100s along the I-95 corridor.  A heat index of around 110 degrees is expected.

TOMORROW NIGHT

A cold front will approach the region with scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 60s to the lower 70s over the interior and from the mid to upper 70s along the coast.

SUNDAY

A cold front will slowly stall over the region with variable clouds, scattered showers, and scattered thunderstorms.  The thunderstorms will produce heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and wind gusts over 40 mph.  Winds will veer to the northeast at 5 mph.  High temperatures will range from the upper 70s to the lower 80s over the interior, the lower to mid-80s along the coast, and the mid to upper 80s on the I-95 corridor.

MONDAY

A stationary front and waves of low pressure will produce overcast skies, showers, and thunderstorms.  Winds will be from the east at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s over the interior and suburbs, and from the upper 60s to the lower 70s in urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-70s over the interior and coast, and from the upper 70s to the lower 80s on the I-95 corridor.

TUESDAY

A stationary front and waves of low pressure will produce overcast skies, showers, and thunderstorms.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior, mid to upper 60s in the suburbs, and upper 60s to lower 70s in urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-70s over the interior, mid to upper 70s in the New York City metropolitan area, and upper 70s to lower 80s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

WEDNESDAY

High pressure will build into the region with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 70s.

THURSDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s.  High temperatures will range from the upper 70s to the lower 80s along the coast and from the lower to mid-80s elsewhere.

FRIDAY

An area of low pressure will approach the region with waves of showers and thunderstorms.  Low temperatures will range from the mid- to upper 60s over the interior and from the upper 60s to the lower 70s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 70s on Long Island, upper 70s to lower 80s in the New York City metropolitan area and interior, and mid to upper 80s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
