Hazy, hot, and humid conditions with a dangerous heat index and isolated tropical thunderstorms will be a threat today through the Independence Day Weekend!  A heat index well into the 100s will have a regionwide impact.

TODAY

A weak trough will produce scattered clouds and isolated thunderstorms.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-80s in southeastern Long Island, upper 80s to lower 90s in northwestern Long Island, mid to upper 90s on the I-95 corridor, and lower to mid-90s over the interior.  A heat index over 100 degrees is expected.

TONIGHT

A trough will produce scattered clouds and morning fog.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-70s over the interior and from the mid- to upper-70s along the coast.

TOMORROW

A trough will produce scattered clouds, morning fog, and isolated thunderstorms.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  High temperatures will range from the upper 80s to lower 90s in southeastern Long Island, mid to upper 90s in northwestern Long Island, upper 90s to mid-100s on the I-95 corridor, and mid to upper 90s over the interior.  A heat index around 110 degrees is possible.

A cold front will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 60s to the lower 70s over the interior and from the lower to mid-70s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the upper 70s to the lower 80s on Long Island and from the lower to mid-80s elsewhere.
