Muggy conditions with some areas of fog will develop tonight.  Hazy, hot, and humid conditions, along with a dangerous heat index and isolated tropical thunderstorms, will be a threat today through the Independence Day Weekend!  A heat index well into the 100s will have a regionwide impact.

A trough will produce scattered clouds and morning fog.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-70s over the interior and from the mid- to upper-70s along the coast.

TOMORROW

A trough will produce scattered clouds, morning fog, and isolated thunderstorms.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  High temperatures will range from the upper 80s to lower 90s in southeastern Long Island, mid to upper 90s in northwestern Long Island, upper 90s to mid-100s on the I-95 corridor, and mid to upper 90s over the interior.  A heat index around 110 degrees is possible.

A cold front will approach the region with scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 60s to the lower 70s over the interior and from the mid to upper 70s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-80s in higher elevations, upper 80s to lower 90s over the interior, mid to upper 80s on Long Island, upper 80s to lower 90s along the coast, and mid-90s on the I-95 corridor.

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Low temperatures will range from the mid- to upper 50s over the interior and from the upper 50s to the lower 60s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 70s.
