Dangerous wind chills return for this weekend with a touch of snow.  Powerful wind gusts are likely Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

TONIGHT

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits over the interior, single digits to lower 10s in the suburbs, and the lower to mid-10s in the urban areas.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure will approach the region with increasing clouds.  Winds will be from the north at 1 to 5 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s.

TOMORROW NIGHT

An area of low pressure will redevelop to the south of Long Island with scattered snow showers throughout the region.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits over the interior, single digits to the lower 10s in the suburbs, and mid to upper 10s in urban areas and along the coast.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure and a trough will produce scattered snow showers.  Light snow is expected in Connecticut and Long Island.  Winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph.  High temperatures will range from the single digits to the lower 10s across the interior, from the lower to mid-10s in the Delaware River Valley, and from the upper 10s to the lower 20s along the coast.  Wind chills will be below zero.

SUNDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds. Winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits below zero to the single digits above zero.  High temperatures will range from the single digits to the lower 10s.  Wind chills will be below zero.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds. Low temperatures will range from the single digits below zero to the single digits above zero.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast.

TUESDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds. Low temperatures will range from the single digits to the lower 10s.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s on Long Island and upper 20s to lower 30s elsewhere.

WEDNESDAY

High pressure will exit the region with increasing clouds.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 10s to the lower 20s.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s.

THURSDAY

An area of low pressure will produce a period of wintry mix changing over to rain.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits to the lower 10s over the interior, mid to upper 10s in the suburbs, and upper 10s to lower 20s in urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s.
