The year 2026 started with an impressive snow squall this morning, but the rest of the first weekend of the year will feature cold but quiet weather conditions.

TODAY: NEW YEAR’S DAY

An arctic cold front will produce periods of snow showers in the morning.  A developing area of low pressure over the coastal waters will produce lingering snow showers along the coast in the afternoon.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior, mid to upper 20s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.

TONIGHT

A trough will produce scattered clouds and flurries.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits to the lower 10s over the interior and mid to upper 10s along the coast.

TOMORROW

A trough will produce scattered clouds and flurries.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.

TOMORROW NIGHT
