Warm and wet conditions this morning will give way to an arctic blast with crashing temperatures and strong winds.  Snow showers are a lingering threat through the start of 2026!

TODAY

A warm front will continue to lift through the region this morning with areas of fog and showers.  A cold front will follow this afternoon with additional showers.  Winds will veer from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph to the west at 10 to 20 mph with gusts between 30 and 50 mph by this evening.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 40s over the interior, upper 40s to lower 50s in the New York City metropolitan areas, and lower to mid-50s in the Philadelphia metropolitan areas.

TONIGHT

A cold front will clear the region with scattered clouds and flurries.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts between 30 and 50 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast.

TOMORROW

A series of troughs will produce scattered clouds and flurries.  Winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.

TOMORROW NIGHT

A series of troughs will produce scattered clouds and flurries.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast.

WEDNESDAY: NEW YEAR’S EVE

A series of troughs will produce scattered clouds and snow showers.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast.

An area of low pressure will redevelop off the coast with scattered snow showers.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-10s over the interior, upper 10s to lower 20s in the suburbs, and mid to upper 20s in urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.
