A winter storm will approach today with accumulating snowfall over the interior and a wet wintry mix on the I-95 corridor.  Cold conditions take hold into next week with some wintry precipitation a threat.

TODAY

An area of low pressure will pass through the coastal waters, with snow showers developing throughout the region.  The snow will mix over to rain southeast of the I-95 corridor and a wintry mix along the I-95 corridor.  Snow will continue to the northwest of the I-95 corridor with snow accumulation.  Winds will be from the northeast at 1 to 5 mph.  High temperatures will range from the mid-30s over the interior, upper 30s to lower 40s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-40s along the coast.

TONIGHT

An area of low pressure will exit the region with snow over the interior and rain ending as snow along the coast.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from lower to mid-20s over the interior, upper 20s to lower 30s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-30s in urban areas and along the coast.

TOMORROW

High pressure will build into the region with clearing skies.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast.

TOMORROW NIGHT

A trough will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.

THURSDAY

A cold front will produce scattered clouds and flurries.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast.

FRIDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies in the morning.  An area of low pressure will approach in the evening with scattered rain and snow showers.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits to the lower 10s over the interior, mid to upper 10s in the suburbs, and upper 10s to lower 20s in urban areas and on the coast.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will produce a wintry mix of snow and rain in the morning, followed by clearing skies.  Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast.

SUNDAY

A trough will produce scattered clouds and flurries.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior, mid to upper 20s in the suburbs, and upper 20s to lower 30s in urban areas and along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits to the lower 10s over the interior, mid to upper 10s in the suburbs, and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast and urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast.

TUESDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of snow for most of the region and a wintry mix of snow and rain on the southern New Jersey coast.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast.
