Waves of thunderstorms will be a threat by this afternoon, especially in eastern Pennsylvania, the Catskills, and western New Jersey.  Waves of rainfall will return for the whole region by tomorrow evening.

TODAY

A cold front will approach the region with variable clouds and isolated showers through the early afternoon.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be a threat in the mid-afternoon and evening hours.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the mid-60s to the lower 70s on Long Island, mid-70s to the lower 80s along the coast, mid to upper 80s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid-70s to the lower 80s over the interior.

TONIGHT

A cold front will stall over the region with scattered showers and thunderstorms through midnight, followed by variable clouds and isolated showers towards morning.  Winds will be from the south at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

TOMORROW

A stationary front will produce variable clouds and isolated showers in the morning.  Showers will increase in coverage in the afternoon and evening.  Winds will be from the south at 5 to 10 mph.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s along the coast and upper 60s to lower 70s away from the coast.

TOMORROW NIGHT

A stationary front will produce periods of rain, heavy at times.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

MONDAY

A stationary front will produce periods of rain, heavy at times.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s on Long Island and upper 60s to lower 70s elsewhere.

TUESDAY

A cold front and an area of low pressure will produce periods of rain, heavy at times.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 50s over the interior, mid to upper 50s in the suburbs, and upper 50s to lower 60s in urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s on Long Island and upper 60s to lower 70s elsewhere.

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 30s to the lower 40s over the interior, mid to upper 40s in the suburbs, and upper 40s to the lower 50s in urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the mid-60s to the lower 70s over the interior, mid to upper 60s on Long Island, upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast, and mid to upper 70s in the Delaware River Valley.
