Tranquil conditions will continue for most of the region, but a smoky haze will have some impacts on the coast.  A cold front will produce widespread showers and thunderstorms on Saturday.

AIR QUALITY: 

Due to a forest fire in Ocean County, New Jersey, air quality over eastern New Jersey and southeastern New York will continue to be poor with pollutants of fine particles from the fire.  

TONIGHT

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the north at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior, mid to upper 40s in the suburbs, and upper 40s to lower 50s in urban areas.

TOMORROW

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the east at 1 to 5 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s on Long Island, upper 60s to mid-70s along the coast, upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-70s over the interior.

TOMORROW NIGHT

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will veer to the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-50s.

FRIDAY

High pressure will exit the region with increasing clouds.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.  High temperatures will range from the mid-60s to the lower 70s on Long Island, mid to upper 70s along the coast, upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid to upper 70s over the interior.

SATURDAY

A cold front will produce showers and thunderstorms.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-50s over the interior, lower to mid-50s in the suburbs, and upper 50s to lower 60s in urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s on Long Island, lower to mid-70s along the coast, upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 60s to mid-70s over the interior.

SUNDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the upper 50s to the lower 60s over the interior, mid to upper 60s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-60s along the coast.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-50s.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s over the interior, lower to mid-70s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast.

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior, lower to mid-60s in the suburbs, and mid to upper 60s in urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the mid-70s to the lower 80s on Long Island, mid-80s to the lower 90s along the coast, upper 80s to the lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-80s over the interior.
