Tranquil weather today will give way to a winter storm by tomorrow afternoon with another round of a wintery mix.  Another winter storm is expected by next Tuesday.

TODAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior, mid to upper 30s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast.

TONIGHT

High pressure will produce scattered clouds with winds from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 10 over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure will approach the region, with periods of snow developing by afternoon.  A mix of snow and rain can be expected in southern New Jersey in the evening.  A wintry mix of snow and sleet will develop in northern New Jersey and the New York City metropolitan areas.  A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain can be expected in southeastern Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia metropolitan area.  All snowfall can be expected to the north of the New York City metropolitan area.  Winds will be from the north at 5 mph.  High temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Periods of snow will continue over the interior and suburbs north of New York City.  A wintry mix of snow and sleet will continue from the Lehigh Valley through the New York City metropolitan area and Long Island.  A wintry mix will mix over to rain in central and southern New Jersey while freezing rain will continue in southeastern Pennsylvania.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.

SUNDAY

An area of low pressure will move through the region with periods of snow, sleet, and rain in the morning, followed by clearing skies.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits to lower 10s over the interior, mid to upper 10s in the suburbs, and upper 10s to lower 20s in urban areas.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior, upper 20s to lower 30s in the New York City metropolitan area, and mid to upper 30s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

TUESDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of snow throughout the region in the afternoon.  The snow will mix with sleet and rain in southern New Jersey. Low temperatures will range from the single digits to lower 10s over the interior, mid to upper 10s in the suburbs, and upper 10s to lower 20s in urban areas. High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior, upper 20s to lower 30s in New York City. metropolitan area, and lower to mid-30s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

WEDNESDAY

An area of low pressure will exit the region with periods of snow in the morning, followed by clearing skies.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s.

THURSDAY

Another area of low pressure will invade with a wintry mix over the interior and rain along the coast.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast.

FRIDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior, mid to upper 20s in the New York City metropolitan area, and upper 20s to lower 30s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
