Increasing clouds this evening will give way to periods of rain and freezing rain by tomorrow morning.  A wet end to the week will give way to a chilly weekend.

TONIGHT

An area of low pressure will approach the region with increasing clouds.  Rain will develop towards morning for most of the region.  A wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet will develop in the Poconos, Catskills, Hudson River Valley, and northern New Jersey.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure will approach the region, with periods of rain throughout the region.  The heaviest rainfall is expected over southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, where up to 1″ of rain is expected.  The rain will mix over to sleet and snow in the Poconos and Catskills before ending in the evening.  Winds will veer from the southwest to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will rise into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior, mid to upper 40s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast.  Temperatures will rapidly fall through the 30s and 40s in the evening.

TOMORROW NIGHT

An area of low pressure will exit the region with periods of rain for most of the region.  Rain will mix over to snow in the Poconos and Catskills with up to 1″ of snow accumulation possible.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior, mid to upper 20s in the suburbs, and upper 20s to lower 30s in urban areas.

SATURDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior, upper 20s to lower 30s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-30s along the coast.

SUNDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will veer to the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits to lower 10s over the interior and lower to mid-10s along the coast.  High temperatures will rise into the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast.

MONDAY

A cold front will produce scattered rain and snow showers.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s.  High temperatures will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s.

TUESDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s over the interior, lower to mid-40s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast.

WEDNESDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of rain and snow.  Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior, lower to mid-30s in the suburbs, and mid to upper 30s in urban areas.

THURSDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of rain.  Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-50s over the interior, mid to upper 50s along the coast, and upper 50s to mid-60s in the Delaware River Valley.
