Snow showers are invading this afternoon, with some slick road conditions for the evening rush hour.  A more significant snowfall is gaining support for this Sunday.  An arctic blast takes hold by Sunday night and continues through next week.

TONIGHT

High pressure will build into the region with clearing skies.  Winds will veer to the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will fall into the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast.

TOMORROW

High pressure will exit the region with increasing clouds.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 10 mph.  High pressure will rise into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Clouds will increase as high pressure departs.  Winds will veer to the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.

SATURDAY

An arctic cold front will approach the region with rain and snow showers by the afternoon.  Winds will veer from the southwest to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  High temperatures will range from the mid-30s over the interior, upper 30s to lower 40s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-40s along the coast.

SUNDAY

The arctic cold front will press off the coast in the morning with scattered rain/snow showers.  An area of low pressure will develop over the coastal waters with periods of light to moderate snowfall in the afternoon and evening.  Accumulating snowfall is likely, especially along and southeast of the I-95 corridor.  Winds will veer to the north at 5 to 10 mph.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior, upper 20s to lower 30s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-30s along the coast.

MONDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of accumulating snowfall in the early morning, followed by clearing skies.  Low temperatures will range from the single digits over the interior and lower to mid-10s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 10s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast.

TUESDAY

A series of troughs will produce scattered clouds and flurries.  Windy conditions are expected.  Low temperatures will range from the -10s to -0 over the interior and 0s along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the single digits over the interior and lower to mid-10s along the coast.
