Hot and humid conditions will continue to linger through the week with the threat of a few pesky thunderstorms.  A slow cold front will introduce the potential for more widespread showers and thunderstorms on Friday evening.

TONIGHT

High pressure will produce scattered clouds with some areas of fog.  Winds will be from the south at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

High pressure will produce areas of fog in the morning, followed by scattered clouds in the afternoon and isolated thunderstorms.  Winds will be from the south at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s to mid-80s on Long Island, upper 80s to lower 90s along the coast, and lower to mid-90s away from the coast for highs.  A heat index in the mid-90s to mid-100s can be expected.

A heat index in the mid-90s to mid-100s can be expected.

SUNDAY

A stationary front will produce scattered clouds, scattered showers, and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s over the interior, lower to mid-70s in the suburbs, and mid to upper 70s in urban areas for lows and lower to mid-80s on Long Island, mid to upper 80s on the coast, mid to upper 80s over the interior, and lower to mid-90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs. A heat index in the mid-90s to mid-100s can be expected.
