High pressure will provide excellent weather for the first day of meteorological Summer.  Showers return tomorrow evening with some heavy downpours.

TODAY

High pressure will produce clear skies with winds from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s over the interior, lower to mid-80s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 50s for lows.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure will approach the region with increasing clouds throughout the day.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s over the interior, lower to mid-80s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

An area of low pressure will move through the region with periods of showers.  A few showers will be capable of a heavy downpour.  Winds will veer to the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s along the coast for lows.

MONDAY

The low-pressure system will exit with showers in the morning, giving way to slow clearing in the afternoon.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s along the coast and upper 70s to lower 80s away from the coast for highs.

TUESDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-50s over the interior, lower to mid-50s in the suburbs, and upper 50s to lower 60s in urban areas for lows and upper 60s to lower 70s on Long Island, mid to upper 70s along the coast, upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid to upper 70s over the interior for highs.

A trough will produce scattered clouds and isolated showers.
