Waves of showers and thunderstorms will threaten the region throughout today as a cold front slowly moves through.  A few thunderstorms will be capable of wind gusts over 40 mph.  Conditions will improve by the weekend.

TODAY

A cold front will produce waves of showers and thunderstorms.  The thunderstorms will be capable of heavy downpours, occasional lightning, and wind gusts over 40 mph.  Winds will be from the southwest at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior, lower to mid-60s along the coast, and mid to upper 60s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

TONIGHT

A series of troughs will produce isolated showers.  Winds will be from the west at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

A series of troughs will produce isolated showers.  Winds will be from the west at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior, lower to mid-50s along the coast, and mid-50s to lower 60s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Scattered clouds can be expected.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for lows.

A stationary front will produce scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 30s to lower 40s over the inteiror, mid to upper 40s in the suburbs, and upper 40s to lower 50s in urban areas for lows and lower to mid-60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s along the coast for highs.

A stationary front will produce scattered to broken cloud cover.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s for lows and mid to upper 60s on Long Island, lower to mid-70s along the coast, mid to upper 70s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-70s over the interior for highs.

A warm front will produce widely scattered showers.  Temperatures will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior, upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast, and mid to upper 50s in the Delaware River Valley for lows and upper 50s to lower 60s on Long Island, mid to upper 60s along the coast, lower to mid-70s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid to upper 60s over the interior for highs.

THURSDAY

A trough will linger over the region with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-50s over the interior and suburbs and upper 50s to lower 60s in urban areas for lows and mid to upper 70s over the interior, mid to upper 70s along the coast, and upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

FRIDAY

A cold front will move through the region in the afternoon and evening with showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-50s for lows and lower to mid-70s on Long Island, upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast, lower to mid-80s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid to upper 70s over the interior for highs.
