TONIGHT
Waves of rainfall will continue. Coastal flooding will be a threat. Flash flooding will be a threat. Winds will be from the east at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 30s over the interior and upper 30s to mid-40s along the coast for lows.
TOMORROW
An area of low pressure will develop along the New Jersey coast with waves of moderate to heavy rainfall. Winds will back to the northeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Coastal flooding will be a threat. Urban and river flooding will be a threat. Temperatures will rise into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior, lower to mid-40s along the coast, and mid to upper 40s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.
TOMORROW NIGHT
The low-pressure system will intensify to teh south of Long Island with waves of rainfall throughout the region. Some snow will mix with rain in the Poconos and Catskills with very little snow accumulation expected. Winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows.
THURSDAY
The low-pressure system will slowly lift from the coastal waters of Long Island to the Gulf of Maine, with rainfall tapering to showers for most of the region. However, with cold air pushing south from the Great Lakes, the rain will mix with sleet and snow in the Poconos, Catskills, and Hudson Highlands, with some snow accumulation for elevations above 1,500 feet on cold surfaces. Winds will back from the northeast to the west at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 30s over the interior, lower to mid-40s in the New York City metropolitan area, and upper 40s to lower 50s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for highs.
FRIDAY
A series of troughs will pass through the region, with scattered clouds and isolated showers. Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and mid-30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.
