A trough will develop along the coastal waters with increasing clouds throughout the day. Winds will be from the east at 10 to 20 mph along the coast and 5 to 15 mph over the interior. Temperatures will rise into the mid-60s for highs.
TONIGHT
An inverted trough will lift north along the coast with periods of rain, heavy at times. Meanwhile, variable cloud cover and a few scattered showers can be expected further inland. Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will fall into the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for lows.
TOMORROW
A developing area of low pressure and an inverted trough will produce periods of rain along the coast and scattered showers over the interior. The rain will sometimes be heavy, especially in the morning, along the New Jersey coast, New York City metropolitan area, Long Island, and southern Connecticut. Winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 60s along the coast and lower to mid-70s away from the coast for highs.
TOMORROW NIGHT
Periods of showers will continue throughout Connecticut and Long Island, with heavy downpours at times. Widely scattered showers can be expected in the Hudson River Valley, New York City metropolitan area, and New Jersey coast while isolated showers will linger further west in western New Jersey, the Catskills, and eastern Pennsylvania. Winds will back to the north at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-50s for lows.
SATURDAY
The low pressure system will pull away with a few lingering showers over Connecticut and Long Island throughout the day, morning isolated showers from the Hudson River Valley through New Jersey, and scattered clouds further west. Clearing skies are expected from northwest to southeast in the afternoon. Winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Temperatures will rise into the upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast and over the interior and lower to mid-70s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

High pressure will produce clear skies and scattered clouds. Temperatures will range from the upper 40s to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 70s for highs.
