Heavy rain and thunderstorms this morning will give way to unsettled conditions through the weekend as a cold front slowly exits into the Atlantic Ocean.

TODAY

A cold front will follow with showers and thunderstorms in the morning giving way to isolated showers in the afternoon hours.  Winds will veer to the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s over the interior, upper 70s to mid-80s in the New York City metropolitan area, and mid-80s to lower 90s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for highs.

TONIGHT

The cold front will stall over the coastal waters with variable clouds and isolated showers.  Winds will veer to the north at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure will develop along the coast front with variable clouds and widely scattered showers.  Winds will be from the north at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-80s over the interior and along the coast and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

A trough will linger over the region with scattered to broken cloud cover and low clouds.  Winds will be from the north at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s along the coast for lows.

FRIDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds to clear skies.  Temperatures will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-70s over the interior and along the coast and upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.
