Meanwhile, snow will develop for elevations over 500 feet that will change over to rain gradually after midnight. Some snow accumulation is expected on cold surfaces above 1,000 feet. Winds will back from the northeast to the north at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to mid-40s along the coast for lows.
TOMORROW
A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain will mix over to rain in the morning while periods of rain continue along the coast as an area of low pressure lifts into the New England coastal waters. Clearing skies are expected in the afternoon and evening hours. Winds will back to the northwest at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to mid-50s along the coast for highs.
TOMORROW NIGHT
High pressure will build into the region with clearing skies. Winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows.
THURSDAY
High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds. A few snow showers are possible in the Catskills and Ponocos. Winds will be from the west at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will rise into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.
FRIDAY
High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds. A few snow showers are possible in the Catskills and Ponocos. Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.
