Tranquil conditions continue tonight, but an unsettled weather pattern returns by tomorrow afternoon.  A brief early Fall-like tease is expected ahead of Labor Day.

TONIGHT

High pressure will produce tranquil conditions for most of the region into tomorrow morning.  Some areas of patch fog are possible.  Winds will be from the southeast at around 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-60s over the interior, mid to upper 60s in the suburbs, and upper 60s to lower 70s in the urban areas for lows.

TOMORROW 

A stationary warm front will drift towards the region with variable cloud cover and isolated showers.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-80s on the coast, mid to upper 80s over the interior, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Variable clouds and some patchy fog are expected.  A few isolated showers are possible.  Winds will be from the south at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s to lower 70s for lows.

TUESDAY

A cold front will approach with scattered cloud cover and isolated thunderstorms.  A line of showers and thunderstorms will reach the region by the evening hours.  The thunderstorms will be capable of heavy downpours, occasional lightning, and wind gusts over 40 mph.  The highest threat for severe thunderstorms will be over eastern Pennsylvania.  Winds will veer to the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-80s on the coast, mid to upper 80s over the interior, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

WEDNESDAY

The cold front will exit the region with a few lingering showers in the morning, followed by clearing skies.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph, with gusts over 20 mph.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows and upper 70s to lower 80s over the interior and lower to mid-80s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies with scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 50s over the interior and lower to mid-60s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-70s over the higher elevations and upper 70s to lower 80s elsewhere for highs.

FRIDAY

High pressure will shift off the coast with scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures will range from the upper 40s to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for lows and mid-70s to lower 80s for highs.

SATURDAY and SUNDAY

A warm front will approach the region with increasing clouds and isolated showers.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s for lows and upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast, and lower to mid-80s away from the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the lower to mid-60s for lows and lower to mid-80s along the coast, mid to upper 80s over the interior, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

MONDAY

A stationary front will linger over the region with variable cloud cover and scattered showers.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-80s along the coast, mid to upper 80s over the interior, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.
