From WeatherTap

Unsettled weather continues as a stationary boundary interacts with a tropical air mass through Wednesday. A drier airmass and slightly cooler temperatures arrive later this week, bringing more pleasant conditions into next weekend.

TODAY

Partly cloudy, hot, and humid. Dewpoints are mostly in the lower 70s, and a stray shower or thunderstorm is possible, particularly to the northwest of the i-95 corridor. A heat advisory is in place for much of the region. High temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s are expected throughout the region. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.

TONIGHT

Any daytime showers or thunderstorms dissipate into the evening. Look for partly cloudy skies with temperatures falling into the 70s for most and upper 60s in areas such as the Poconos and Catskills.

TOMORROW

Hot and humid conditions persist, with patchy cloud cover and a slight to low chance for showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures should reach the low to mid-90s for much of the region with strong heat indices again, over 100 degrees likely in spots. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

TOMORROW NIGHT

An isolated thunderstorm possible. Otherwise partly cloudy, with low temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s for the interior, upper 70s along the coast, and upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley.

TUESDAY

Sunshine and variable cloud cover with a stray shower or thunderstorm possible. Scattered thunderstorms are possible into the evening due to an approaching cold front. High temperatures should range in the 80s across the interior, upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast, and lower to mid-90s in the Delaware River Valley.

WEDNESDAY

An upper-level trough will likely amplify, driving an associated cold front into the area. Increasing cloud cover and humid with a few heavy thunderstorms possible. Most folks will wake up to temperatures ranging throughout the 70s, before climbing into the lower to mid-80s in the northern interior, upper 80s along the coast, and upper 80s to lower 90s in and around the Delaware River Valley.

THURSDAY

High pressure builds south decreasing cloud cover and humidity. A lingering shower or thunderstorm is possible early on. Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior and lower 70s along the coast and in the Delaware River Valley. High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 80s throughout the region.

FRIDAY

High pressure in place providing a mainly sunny sky. Breezier conditions however, with winds out of the NNW. Low temperatures will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior, with upper 60s to lower 70s for the Delaware River Valley and coastline. High temperatures cooler with upper 70s to lower 80s expected throughout the region.

SATURDAY and SUNDAY

An upper-level trough gradually lifts building surface pressure. This will help to maintain drier conditions and mostly sunny skies. Low temperatures both days should be much cooler, ranging throughout the 50s across much of the region. We could see readings in the upper 40s in the Catskills and Poconos. High temperatures on Saturday will range in the mid to upper 70s for most with lower 80s possible in the Delaware River Valley. Sunday should be slightly warmer with highs in the low to mid 80s for the entire region.
