An active pattern will keep us on the cool side with several disturbances pushing through our area. Numerous chances of rain are possible this week. Conditions turn even cooler as a deep trough moves in by the weekend.

Sunday: A mainly cloudy day with rain showers is expected. Some snow may mix in for northern regions. Highs will range from the upper-30s to mid-40s for northern regions while southern regions range from the upper-40s to mid-50s. Winds will be from the northwest at 10-15 mph. Lows will fall into the upper-20s to mid-30s.

Monday: A partly cloudy day and dry is expected as yesterday’s system has moved offshore. Highs will rise into the mid-40s to low-50s. Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph. Lows will drop into the low-30s to near 40 for northern regions while southern regions remain in the upper-30s to mid-40s.

Tuesday: Cloudy conditions return as another area of low pressure moves towards the region. Widespread rain showers are expected to move in during the overnight hours. Heavier, more concentrated rainfall is expected, especially over southern areas. Temperatures remain in the mid-40s to low-50s for highs. Winds will be from the southeast at 5-10 mph. Lows will fall into the low-40s to near 50.

Wednesday: Residual rain showers will clear the area during the morning hours and give way to some clearing skies. Highs will remain in the mid-40s to low-50s for northern areas while southern areas rise into the 60s. Winds will be from the west at 5-10 mph. Lows will fall into the low-40s to upper-40s.

Thursday: An area of low pressure will bring a trailing cold front through our region early in the morning, providing rain showers and perhaps a thunderstorm. Highs will climb into the low-40s to upper-40s for northern areas while southern areas rise into the 50s. Winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph. Lows will fall into the low-40s to upper-40s.

Friday: Another dreary day is expected with clouds and scattered showers. Highs will rise into the upper-40s to mid-50s. Winds will be from the west at 5-10 mph. Lows will fall into the low-30s to upper-30s for northern areas while southern areas range from the mid-30s to low-40s.

Weekend: An area of low pressure will slowly make its way through our area, providing the chance for scattered rain and snow showers. Highs will be in the 40s for the interior while the coastal plain remains in the 40s and 50s. Winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph. Lows will fall into the 30s.
