Waves of rainfall are starting to develop this morning and will continue on through this evening with the heaviest downpours focused along the coast.  The weekend though is setting up to be dry but a bit cool.

A slow-moving cold front and an area of low pressure will produce isolated to widely scattered showers this morning followed by waves of moderate to heavy rainfall this afternoon on through early tomorrow morning.  The heaviest rainfall will be found along the coast with one to two inches of rain expected.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-60s along the coast and mid-50s to lower 60s over the interior for highs.

The cold front and wave of low pressure will exit tomorrow morning with lingering showers followed by clearing skies.  Winds will be from the north-northwest at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the lower to mid-40s for lows and mid to upper 50s for highs.

High pressure will be in complete control on Sunday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will back to the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast and upper 50s to mid-60s for highs.

A cold front will approach the region but stall to the northwest on Monday with scattered to broken clouds and a few isolated to widely scattered showers, especially over the Poconos and Catskills.  Temperatures will range from the upper 40s to mid-50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 60s for highs.

High pressure will be in control on Tuesday through Friday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s for lows and upper 60s to mid-70s for highs.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the mid-50s to lower 60s for lows and upper 60s to mid-70s for highs.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the upper 50s for lows and upper 60s to lower 70s over the interior and mid to upper 70s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the lower to mid-60s for lows and lower to mid-70s for highs.
