Due to the wildfires in Canada another round of smokey haze will return to the region today, followed by showers and thunderstorms returning by the weekend.

TODAY

A trough will linger over the region with scattered clouds and isolated thunderstorms.  Hazy conditions will be in place with poor air quality a threat.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s to lower 80s over the interior, lower to mid-80s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT

A trough will linger over the region with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  The air quality will begin to improve as winds back away from the forest fire source.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior and lower to mid-60s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

A trough will linger over the region with low clouds and fog in the morning followed by scattered clouds and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Winds will veer to the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-80s over the interior, mid to upper 80s in the Delaware River Valley, lower to mid-80s along the coast, and upper 70s to lower 80s in Long Island for highs.
