Snow showers will pass this morning, setting up a white Christmas for many.  By Santa Claus’s trip tonight, excellent weather will be in place so make sure you leave out plenty of cookies and milk for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer!

TODAY

A strong cold front will produce snow showers and a snow squall through 10 AM from northwest to southeast, with snow accumulation up to 1″ and a brief period of visibility below a mile.  The skies will clear in the afternoon.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-30s over the interior, mid to upper 30s in the New York City metropolitan area, and upper 30s to lower 40s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for highs.

TONIGHT, CHRISTMAS EVE

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be light and variable.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW CHRISTMAS!/ HANUKKAH STARTS!

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the north at 1 to 5 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds.  Winds will be light and variable.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast for lows.

THURSDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds.  Winds will be light and variable.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-30s for highs.

FRIDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds.  Winds will be light and variable.  Temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s for highs.

TUESDAY

Scattered clouds are expected.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs.
