Warmer weather takes hold today and continues through the upcoming week with waves of rainfall.  Snow does return for the higher elevations by the end of the storm.

TODAY

An area of low pressure will pass to the north of the region with scattered clouds and a few isolated showers.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-40s over the interior, upper 40s to lower 50s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT

Clouds will increase as an area of low-pressure approaches.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure will approach the region with increasing clouds and showers towards the evening.  Winds will back to the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Periods of rain can be expected.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 30s over the interior, upper 30s to lower 40s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-40s along the coast for lows.

TUESDAY

The area of low pressure will move through the region with rain in the morning, followed by scattered clouds in the afternoon.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 40s over the interior, lower to mid-50s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid to upper 50s along the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

Another area of low pressure will produce periods of rain for most of the region and a mix of rain and snow over the higher elevations by the evening.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 30s to mid-40s over the interior, upper 40s to lower 50s in the Delaware River valley, and lower to mid-50s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior, upper 40s to mid-50s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid to upper 50s along the coast.  Temperatures will crash through the 40s and 30s in the evening behind the cold front.

THURSDAY

The low-pressure system will exit in the morning with periods of snow in the Poconos, Catskills, and Hudson Highlands, while rain can be expected for the rest of the region.  The skies will clear in the afternoon.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior, upper 20s to lower 30s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid to upper 30s on the coast for lows and upper 20s to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

FRIDAY

Scattered clouds are expected.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 10s over the interior, lower to mid-20s in the suburbs, and mid to upper 20s in urban areas and on the coast for lows and upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

Scattered clouds are expected.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

SUNDAY

Scattered clouds are expected.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.
