Tranquil conditions tonight will give way to a Thanksgiving storm with periods of rain and mountain snowfall.

TONIGHT

High pressure will build into the region with clearing skies.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

High pressure will exit the region with increasing clouds.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Clouds will increase as an area of low pressure approaches the region.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows.

THANKSGIVING

An area of low pressure will produce periods of rain for most of the region.  A mix of rain and snow will change over to snow in the Poconos and Catskills, with some snowfall accumulation expected for elevations over 1,200 feet.  Winds will veer to the south at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid-30s to lower 40s over the interior, mid-40s to lower 50s in the New York City metropolitan area, and lower to mid-50s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for highs.

FRIDAY

A series of troughs will produce scattered clouds and scattered rain and snow showers.  Winds will be from the west-northwest at 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior, upper 20s to lower 30s in the suburbs, and mid to upper 30s in urban areas for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s for highs.

SATURDAY

A series of troughs will pass through the region with scattered clouds and snow showers.  Temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for highs.
