A series of cold fronts will fail to produce rainfall today, but more significant rainfall and higher-elevation snowfall are expected by the end of the week.

TODAY

A series of weakening cold fronts will produce scattered clouds and an isolated shower.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 50s over the interior and lower to mid-60s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT

High pressure will build into the region with scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-30s over the interior, upper 30s to lower 40s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-40s in urban areas for lows.

TOMORROW

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-40s over the interior, mid to upper 40s in the suburbs, and upper 40s to lower 50s in urban areas for lows.

WEDNESDAY

A warm front will approach the region with increasing clouds and scattered showers developing towards evening.  Winds will veer from the northwest to the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 50s for highs.

THURSDAY

An area of low pressure and an occluded front will produce waves of rainfall, heavy at times.  The rain will mix with snow towards the evening in the Poconos and Catskills.  Winds will veer from the east to the southwest at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.  Temperatures will range from the mid-30s over the interior, upper 30s to lower 40s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-40s in urban areas for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior, lower to mid-40s in the New York City metropolitan area, and mid to upper 40s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for highs.

FRIDAY

A series of troughs will produce scattered showers for most of the region and snow showers in elevations above 1,000 feet in the Poconos and Catskills.  Snow accumulation is expected on cold surfaces only.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior, lower to mid-30s in the suburbs, and upper 30s to lower 40s in urban areas for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

A series of troughs will produce variable clouds and scattered showers.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

SUNDAY

A series of troughs will produce scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior, upper 30s to lower 40s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-40s in urban areas for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior, mid to upper 30s in the suburbs, and upper 30s in urban areas for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.
