Drought conditions are getting worse throughout the region, and sadly, the bulk of the rainfall tonight through tomorrow will remain to the north of the region.  However, a few showers will be a threat through the early part of this week.  A dry and warm weather pattern will follow by the end of this week.

TONIGHT

A cold front will approach the region with scattered cloud cover and isolated showers.  Winds will veer to the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior, mid to upper 50s in the suburbs, and upper 50s to lower 60s in urban areas for lows.

TOMORROW

A cold front will exit the region with scattered showers in the morning, followed by clearing skies.  Winds will veer to the west at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-50s in the higher elevation, upper 50s to lower 60s over the rest of the interior, and mid to upper 60s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

A series of troughs will move through the region with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 30s over the interior, upper 30s to lower 40s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-40s in urban areas for lows.

TUESDAY

A series of troughs will produce scattered clouds and a few isolated showers.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior, mid to upper 50s in the New York City metropolitan area, and upper 50s to lower 60s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for highs.

WEDNESDAY

A series of troughs will produce scattered clouds and a few isolated showers.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs.

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s for lows and lower to mid-60s over the interior, mid to upper 60s along the coast, and upper 60s to lower 70s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 60s over the interior and lower to mid-70s along the coast for highs.
