The worst of Debby’s impacts will stay to the west, but heavy rainfall, thunderstorms capable of tornadoes, and windy conditions will still move through the region.  Excellent weather is expected by the weekend.

TODAY

The remnants of Debby will lift through the region with periods of rain and tropical thunderstorms.  A few thunderstorms may produce frequent lightning, heavy downpours, wind gusts over 50 mph, and isolated tornadoes.  Winds will veer to the south at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts over 30 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s over the interior and lower to mid-80s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT

The remnants of Debby and a powerful cold front will move through the region with torrential rainfall and embedded thunderstorms capable of frequent lightning, heavy downpours, wind gusts over 50 mph, and isolated tornadoes.  Winds will veer from the south to the southwest at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts over 30 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-60s over the interior, upper 60s to lower 70s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-70s in urban areas for lows.

TOMORROW

The cold front will clear the region with lingering showers in the morning, followed by clearing skies.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s over the interior and lower to mid-80s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 50s over the interior and lower to mdi-60s along the coast for lows.

SUNDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-70s over the interior, upper 70s to lower 80s in the New York City metropolitan area, and lower to mid-80s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for highs.

A trough will produce scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 50s over the interior and lower to mid-60s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 70s over the interior, mid to upper 70s along the coast, and lower to mid-80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.
