A stationary front and a wave of low pressure will continue to waver over the region, producing waves of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon through this evening. The line of thunderstorms over eastern Pennsylvania will drive toward the coast. The thunderstorms will be capable of intense downpours, frequent lightning, small hail, and wind gusts over 40 mph. A few thunderstorms have already reached severe levels with gusts over 60 mph. The thunderstorm threat will continue through this evening and towards midnight. Power outages, urban flooding, visibility below 2 miles, and wind damage will be a threat.
