The heat index will return to dangerous levels again this afternoon, around 100 degrees, while scattered thunderstorms remain a threat throughout the start of the week. A cold front will produce more widespread thunderstorms by mid-week.

TODAY

A stationary front will produce scattered clouds and isolated thunderstorms.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s on Long Island, upper 80s to lower 90s along the coast, mid to upper 90s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 80s to lower 90s over the interior for highs. A heat index in the mid-90s to mid-100s can be expected.

TONIGHT

A stationary front will produce isolated thunderstorms, low clouds, and fog.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s to lower 70s over the interior and lower to mid-70s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW
