A line of showers and thunderstorms in central Pennsylvania, northeastern Pennsylvania, Catskills, Hudson River Valley, and northern Connecticut will slowly press to the south and east towards the northern Mid-Atlantic. These thunderstorms are expected to impact the rest of the northern Mid-Atlantic late tonight and tomorrow morning. The thunderstorms are expected to weaken below severe levels but will be capable of heavy rainfall, frequent vivid lightning, and wind gusts over 40 mph. If a severe thunderstorm develops, the primary severe feature will be down burst wind gusts over 55 mph. These thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall amounts of 0.50″ to 1.50″ in some locations.
