A cold front will be on the move today, with showers and thunderstorms becoming widespread by this evening.  A few thunderstorms may reach severe levels with heavy downpours, frequent lightning, hail, wind gusts over 50 mph, and isolated tornadoes.

TODAY

An area of low pressure will move through with overcast skies along with showers and thunderstorms.  A few thunderstorms will be capable of heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and wind gusts over 40 mph.  The strongest thunderstorms are likely over southern New Jersey. Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast, mid to upper 70s in the Delaware River Valley, and lower to mid-70s over the interior for highs.

TONIGHT

An area of low pressure will exit with showers and thunderstorms.  Winds will veer to the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior and lower to mid-60s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

A trough will move through the region with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-70s over the interior and upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Scattered clouds are expected, with winds from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for lows.

WEDNESDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of showers. Winds will veer to the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 60s to lower 70s over the interior and mid to upper 70s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

The low pressure system will exit the region with lingering showers.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the mid-40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for highs.

FRIDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior, upper 40s to lower 50s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-50s in urban areas for lows and lower to mid-60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 40s over the interior, upper 40s to lower 50s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-50s in urban areas for lows and lower to mid-70s over the interior and mid to upper 70s along the coast for highs.

SUNDAY

A cold front will approach with increasing clouds along with showers and thunderstorms in the evening.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 50s for lows and mid to upper 70s over the interior, lower to mid-80s in the Delaware River Valley, and mid to upper 70s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s for lows and mid-70s to lower 80s over the interior, upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast, and mid to upper 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.
