Cloudy, tranquil weather will continue through tomorrow afternoon, but a winter storm with significant impacts on the interior and higher elevations will invade by tomorrow night.

TODAY

High pressure will build into the region.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-40s for highs.

TONIGHT

High pressure will pass over the region with winds veering from the northwest to the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid-20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure will approach the region with increasing clouds and rain developing towards midnight.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

As an intensifying area of low pressure approaches the region, periods of rain will develop towards midnight for most of the region while a wintry mix develops over the interior.  The wintry mix will turn to snow after midnight, while the rain will begin to mix with snow towards the morning along the coast.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior, lower to mid-30s along the I-95 corridor, and mid to upper 30s in southern New Jersey for lows.

TUESDAY

An intensifying area of low pressure over the coastal waters will produce periods of moderate to heavy snowfall over the interior and a mix of rain and snow changing to snow along the coast in the morning.  The snow will continue into the afternoon.  The skies will clear in the evening.  Winds will back from the northeast to the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.  Minor coastal flooding will be a threat.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

A cold front will produce scattered clouds and a few flurries.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for lows and upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs.

FRIDAY

Another cold front will approach with scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the single digits to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to mid-20s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of rain and snow along the coast and snow over the interior.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

SUNDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the single digits to lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.
