Mild and unsettled conditions will continue through the weekend before a return to more seasonable conditions by next week.

TODAY

A cold front will clear the region in the morning with periods of showers followed by clearing skies.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 30s to upper 40s over the interior, lower to mid-50s in the New York City metropolitan area, upper 50s to mid-60s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, and mid-60s to lower 70s in southern New Jersey for highs.

TONIGHT

Scattered clouds can be expected as high pressure builds into the region.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will veer from the northwest to the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 30s to mid-40s over the interior and mid-40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

An area of low pressure will approach with increasing clouds and rain towards morning.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows.

SUNDAY

An area of low pressure will approach the region with rain by mid-morning.  The rain will mix with and change over to snow in the higher elevations by the afternoon hours.  Winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY

The area of low pressure will exit the region with periods of snow over the interior, and rain changes to snow before ending along the coast.  Accumulating snowfall is expected north and northwest of the I-95 corridor.  Winds will back to the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

TUESDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 10s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 10s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast for lows and mid-30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

FRIDAY

A trough will pass through the region with scattered clouds and snow showers.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for lows and mid-20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid-30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.
