Warm air invading the region is producing dense fog and periods of showers this evening.  A potential interior winter storm is possible by late this weekend.

TONIGHT

Overcast skies with periods of showers can be expected.  Areas of fog will produce visibility below 2 miles.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 30s to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure and a cold front will produce periods of showers.  Areas of fog will produce visibility below 2 miles.  Winds will be from the south at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

A cold front will approach the region with periods of rain, heavy at times.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows.

FRIDAY

A cold front will clear the region in the morning with periods of showers followed by clearing skies.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-50s over the interior, lower to mid-50s in the New York City metropolitan area, upper 50s to mid-60s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, and mid-60s to lower 70s in southern New Jersey for highs.

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will veer from the northwest to the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to mid-40s over the interior and mid-40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

SUNDAY

An area of low pressure will approach the region with rain by mid-morning.  The rain will mix with and change over to snow in the higher elevations by the afternoon hours.  Winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY

The area of low pressure will exit the region with periods of snow over the interior and rain changes to snow before ending along the coast.  Accumulating snowfall is expected north and northwest of the I-95 corridor.  Temperatures will hold in the upper 30s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast throughout the day.

TUESDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the single digits to lower 10s over the interior and mid to upper 10s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of snow over the interior and a wintry mix along the coast.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.
