A series of Alberta Clippers will support a shift to a colder weather pattern this week, setting the stage for a winter storm by the first weekend of 2024.

TONIGHT

An area of low pressure will exit the region with scattered clouds and flurries.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 20s for lows.

TOMORROW

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

High pressure will pass over the region with clear skies.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows.

WEDNESDAY

High pressure will exit the region with scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

An area of low pressure and a cold front will produce scattered clouds with rain/snow showers.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

FRIDAY

High pressure will be in control with scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 10s to lower 20s for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will approach the region, with increasing clouds and snow developing in the evening.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s for lows and mid to upper 30s for highs.

SUNDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of moderate to heavy snowfall along and northwest of the I-95 corridor and a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain east of the I-95 corridor, with windy conditions.  Significant snow accumulation will be a threat, creating poor travel conditions.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 20s over the interior, lower to mid-30s along the I-95 corridor, and mid to upper 30s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY

An area of low pressure will exit the region with scattered snow showers.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

TUESDAY

An area of low pressure and a warm front will approach the region, with periods of snow mixing over to sleet and then rain in the evening hours.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to mid-20s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to mid-50s along the coast for evening highs.
