A powerful, dynamic coastal storm is on the way with waves of moderate to heavy rainfall and powerful wind gusts along the coast.  Coastal flooding, flash flooding, wind damage, and power outages will be a threat tonight through tomorrow morning.

THROUGH 12 PM

Clouds will steadily increase with isolated showers developing towards noon.  Winds will be from the east at 5 to 15 mph.

12 PM THROUGH 8 PM

Scattered showers will become widespread and heavy at times.  Winds will increase from the east at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph along the coast.  The coastal flooding threat will increase.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs.

8 PM THROUGH 12 AM

Widespread moderate to heavy rainfall will continue with rainfall rates between 0.25″ to 0.50″.  Urban and flash flooding threats will increase.  Coastal flooding threats will continue with tides 1 to 4 feet above normal.  Winds will be from the east at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts between 20 to 40 mph inland and 30 to 50 mph along the coast.  The potential for power outages, wind damage, and visibility below 2 miles will continue to increase.  Temperatures will hold in the lower to mid-50s.

12 AM THROUGH 8 AM TOMORROW

Intense rainfall is expected, with rainfall rates ranging from 0.25″ to 1″ per hour.  Winds will back from the east to the northwest at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts between 20 to 40 mph inland and 30 to 50 mph along the coast.  The coastal flooding threat will peak at 1 to 4 feet above normal.  The potential for power outages, wind damage, and visibility below a mile.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for morning highs.

8 AM THROUGH 12 PM TOMORROW

The low-pressure system will exit with rain lifting through from southwest to northeast.  The intensity of the rainfall will subside, and visibility will improve.  Winds will back from the northwest to the west at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.  Temperatures will hold in the lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast.

12 PM THROUGH 8 PM TOMORROW

The low-pressure system will continue to lift into New England with clearing skies and lingering widely scattered showers.  Winds will be from the west-northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall through the 50s, 40s, and 30s.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Clearing skies with isolated rain and snow showers are expected through the period.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for lows.

TUESDAY

A trough will produce scattered snow showers.  Winds will be from the west at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 20s to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

FRIDAY

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will produce scattered snow showers in the morning that will mix over to rain.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s for highs.

SUNDAY

An area of low pressure will produce scattered rain showers.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs.
