A stalling cold front and the low-pressure system will keep the threat of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through tomorrow.  Improving conditions for the second half of the weekend.

TODAY

A stationary front will linger over the region with cloudy skies and scattered showers over southern New Jersey and isolated showers elsewhere.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT

A stationary front will linger over the region with overcast skies with scattered showers.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to mid-40s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure will produce periods of showers and thunderstorms.  The showers will be capable of heavy downpours at times.  Winds will be from the east at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and New York City metropolitan area and lower to mid-50s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area and southern New Jersey.

TOMORROW NIGHT

The low-pressure system will exit with periods of showers followed by clearing skies towards morning.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows.

High pressure will produce scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the west at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for highs.
