
High pressure will make for a dry and pleasant Sunday. Conditions turn messy Monday night with snow, sleet, and rain expected to impact the region, before weak high pressure fills in for the mid-week. We are watching the potential for another storm system that may arrive just ahead of next weekend.
TODAY
High pressure will produce scattered cloud cover. Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph. High temperatures will rise into the upper 40s to lower 50s across the region.
TONIGHT
A weak cold front will pass through the region with mostly clear skies expected. Winds will veer northwesterly at 5 to 10 mph with temperatures falling into the low to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast.
TOMORROW
An area of low pressure will approach with increasing clouds throughout the day. Periods of rain will develop in southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey while a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain can be expected generally along the I-78 corridor, and all snow expected to the north of the I-78 corridor. Total snow and ice accumulations of up to 4″ is possible along the I-78 corridor, with over 4″ of snow possible to the north and over 0.50″ of rain likely to the south. Winds will be from the east at 10 to 20 mph. High temperatures will range from the low to mid-40s over the interior and along the coast, and mid to upper 40s in the Delaware River Valley.
TOMORROW NIGHT
An area of low pressure will continue to produce a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain generally along the I-78 corridor, with rain to the south and wet snow to the north. Winds will continue from the east at 5 to 15 mph, with temperatures falling into the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s in the Delaware River Valley and along the coast.
TUESDAY
An area of low pressure will exit to the northeast with periods of light snow and sleet over the interior; snow, sleet, and rain in the New York City metropolitan area, and periods of light rain in the Philadelphia metropolitan area and southern New Jersey. Winds will be from the north at 5 to 15 mph. High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s over the interior and upper 30s to mid-40s in the Delaware River Valley and along the coast.
WEDNESDAY
Weak high pressure will pass over the region with scattered cloud cover expected. Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s in the Delaware River Valley and along the coast. High temperatures will range from the low to mid-40s over the interior, mid to upper 40s along the coast, and lower to mid-50s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
THURSDAY
A cold front will pass through the region producing scattered rain showers. Low temperatures will range from the upper 30s to mid-40s across much of the region. High temperatures in the low to mid 50s over the interior, upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast, and low to mid-60s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area are expected.
FRIDAY
A strong area of low pressure will pass through the region bringing scattered rain and snow showers. Increased uncertainty in the timing and overall evolution of this system prevents further details at this time. Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior, mid to upper 30s in the New York City and Philadelphia Metropolitan areas, and upper 30s to low 40s along the coast. High temperatures will range in the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast.
SATURDAY
High pressure regains control, producing a mix of clouds and sunshine. Low temperatures will range from the low to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to mid-30s along the coast, with high temperatures in the low to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s in the Delaware River Valley and along the coast.
SUNDAY
High pressure will produce scattered cloud cover. Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast. High temperatures will range from the upper 20s to mid-30s over the interior, with upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast and in the Delaware River Valley.
