Tranquil weather continues tonight, but the remnants of Hurricane Nicole will bring a stormy end to the week.

TONIGHT 

High pressure will exit the region with scattered clouds expected.  Winds will be from the east-northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-40s for lows.

TOMORROW 

High pressure will be to the east of the region with increasing clouds.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior, lower to mid-60s along the coast, and mid to upper 60s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Clouds will increase from the south with winds from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-50s for lows.

FRIDAY

The remnants of Nicole will move into the region with rain developing in the morning and becoming heavy through the afternoon and evening.  Winds will be from the southeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 40 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 60s for highs.

SATURDAY

A strong cold front will follow and move through the region which will produce periods of moderate to heavy rainfall and windy conditions in the morning.  Clearing conditions are expected in the afternoon and evening.  Winds will be from the west at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph.  Temperatures will peak in the mid-50s to lower 60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s along the coast in the morning and then fall through the 50s, 40s, and 30s in the afternoon and evening.

SUNDAY

High pressure will build into the region with clearing skies and breezing conditions.  A few snow showers are possible for the Catskills and Poconos.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior, upper 30s to lower 40s in the suburbs, and lower to mid-40s in urban areas for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds.  A few snow showers are possible in the Catskills and Poconos.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

TUESDAY

An area of low pressure will approach the region with increasing clouds and isolated showers developing in the afternoon and evening.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s for highs.

WEDNESDAY

An area of low pressure will produce a mix of rain and snow for higher elevations with minor snow accumulation possible on cold surfaces and periods of rain along the coast.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.
