Waves of showers and thunderstorms are likely this evening, providing some much-needed rainfall to the region.  Excellent weather returns for the weekend, but another blast of hot and humid conditions is likely next week.

TODAY

A cold front will approach the region with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s over the interior, mid to upper 80s along the coast, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

TONIGHT

The cold front will move through the region with showers and thunderstorms.  A few thunderstorms will be capable of heavy downpours that may produce flash flooding.  Winds will veer to the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior and the mid to upper 60s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW 

High pressure will build into the region, with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Scattered clouds are expected with winds from the northeast at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s along the coast for lows.

SUNDAY

High pressure will pass over the region, with clear skies expected.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s for highs.

MONDAY

High pressure will exit the region, with scattered cloud cover and isolated showers.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-80s along the coast, mid to upper 80s over the interior, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

Hazy, hot, and humid conditions are expected, with an isolated thunderstorm possible in the afternoon.  Temperatures will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s over the interior and lower to mid-70s along the coast for lows and upper 80s to lower 90s along the coast and lower to mid-90s away from the coast for highs.

FRIDAY

A cold front will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-70s over the interior and mid to upper 70s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 80s over the interior, upper 80s to lower 90s along the coast, and lower to mid-90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.
