Waves of rainfall will return to the Philadelphia metro by tomorrow morning, but the whole weekend will not be a washout.

TODAY

Scattered clouds with a few isolated showers can be expected.  Winds will back to the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-80s along the coast and mid to upper 80s away from the coast for highs.

TONIGHT

An area of low pressure will approach the region with increasing clouds with showers developing towards the morning.  Winds will veer to the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW 

An area of low pressure will produce periods of rain, heavy at times, throughout southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey through the afternoon.  Rainfall amounts of 0.50″ to 1.50″ with locally higher amounts can be expected.  Scattered showers and overcast conditions can be expected from the northern suburbs of Philadelphia through central New Jersey.  Variable cloud cover with isolated showers can be expected from northeastern Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey, southeastern New York, and Connecticut.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s to lower 80s over the interior and lower to mid-70s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

High pressure will build south into the region with clear skies to scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 50s over the interior and lower to mid-60s along the coast for lows.

SUNDAY AND MONDAY

High pressure will produce scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the east at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures on Sunday will rise into the upper 70s to lower 80s for highs.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the lower to mid-60s for lows and upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast and mid to upper 80s away from the coast for highs.

TUESDAY

A trough of low pressure will produce areas of fog in the morning and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Temperatures will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s for lows and lower to mid-80s along the coast and upper 80s to lower 90s away from the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

A cold front will approach the region with scattered clouds and widely scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s over the interior and lower to mid-70s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 80s over the interior, mid to upper 80s along the coast, and lower to mid-90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

THURSDAY

The cold front will move through the region with periods of showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s over the interior and lower to mid-70s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 70s along the coast and lower to mid-80s away from the coast for highs.

FRIDAY

A second cold front will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-80s over the interior and mid to upper 80s along the coast for highs.
