Showers will remain a threat heading into the weekend, especially in southern New Jersey. An active weather pattern is expected to continue into next week.

TODAY

An area of low pressure will pass to the south of the region with lingering scattered showers over central and southern New Jersey and isolated showers throughout the rest of the region.  Otherwise scattered to broken cloud cover can be expected.  Winds will be from the east at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s to lower 80s for highs.

TONIGHT

High pressure will build south with scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 60s for lows.

TOMORROW 

Scattered clouds with a few isolated showers can be expected.  Winds will back to the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-80s along the coast and mid to upper 80s away from the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

An area of low pressure will approach the region with increasing clouds with showers developing towards the morning.  Winds will veer to the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of showers over southern New Jersey, scattered showers in the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas, and isolated showers over the interior in the morning hours.  Skies will clear from northwest to southeast in the afternoon.  Winds will be from the east at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s to lower 80s for highs.

SUNDAY AND MONDAY

High pressure will produce scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the mid to upper 50s over the interior and lower to mid-60s along the coast for lows and upper 70s to lower 80s for highs.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the lower to mid-60s for lows and upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast and mid to upper 80s away from the coast for highs.

TUESDAY

A trough of low pressure will produce areas of fog in the morning and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Temperatures will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s for lows and lower to mid-80s along the coast and upper 80s to lower 90s away from the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

A cold front will approach the region with scattered clouds and widely scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s over the interior and lower to mid-70s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 80s over the interior, mid to upper 80s along the coast, and lower to mid-90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

THURSDAY

The cold front will move through the region with periods of showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s over the interior and lower to mid-70s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 70s along the coast and lower to mid-80s away from the coast for highs.
