A heavy rainfall tomorrow morning will mark the start of an active weather pattern with several chances for rainfall and a returning backdoor cold front.

TODAY

A cold front will stall over the region with variable cloud cover and isolated showers.  Winds will be from the south at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-70s over the interior, upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast, and upper 70s to mid-80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

TONIGHT

An area of low pressure will approach the region with periods of rain, heavy at times, after midnight.  Winds will be from the south at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

The low-pressure system will move through the region in the morning with periods of rain, heavy at times, lifting to the northeast.  Skies will clear in the afternoon and evening.  Winds will back to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-70s over the interior, mid to upper 70s along the coast, and upper 70s to mid-80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

High pressure will build into the region with scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for lows.

FRIDAY

High pressure will produce scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for lows and upper 60s to lower 70s over the interior, mid to upper 70s along the coast, and upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of showers.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 50s over the interior and lower to mid-60s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-70s over the interior, mid to upper 70s along the coast, and upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY

A series of weak troughs will pass through the region with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid to upper 50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-70s over the interior, lower to mid-70s along the coast, and upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-70s over the interior, mid to upper 70s along the coast, and upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

WEDNESDAY

A backdoor cold front will drop to the southwest from New England with scattered to broken cloud cover and scattered showers.  Temperatures will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-70s in Connecticut and Long Island and mid to upper 70s for the rest of the region.
