The month of May will be off to a cool start as clouds and showers dominate the forecast. Several systems will traverse overhead bringing chances for precipitation. Flow off the ocean will create raw conditions. Things begin to clear out as we head into next weekend.

Sunday: A mix of clouds and sun is expected early before clouds increase throughout the day. Some showers are possible during the overnight hours. Highs will range from the mid-60s to low-70s for inland areas while the shore points will be in the 50s. Winds will be from the southeast at 5-10 mph. Lows will fall into the upper-40s to mid-50s.

Monday: Mostly cloudy skies with widely scattered showers are expected. Highs will be in the mid-60s to low-70s for western regions while eastern regions are stuck in the upper-40s to mid-50s. Winds will be from the west at 5-10 mph. Lows will range from the mid-40s to the low-50s.

Tuesday: Sunny skies and dry conditions return with high pressure in control. Some showers are possible during the late overnight hours. Highs will range from the mid-50s to low-60s for the interior while the coast is stuck in the 50s. Winds will be from the east at 10-15 mph. Lows will range from the mid-40s to the low-50s.

Wednesday: Clouds and residual showers are possible as a cold front moves through the area. Highs will be in the mid-50s to low-60s for northern areas while southern areas are in the upper-60s to mid-70s. Winds will be from the northwest at 10-15 mph. Lows will fall into the mid-40s to low-50s.

Thursday: Cloudy skies and raw conditions return as flow is coming off the ocean. Rain showers are expected overnight as an area of low pressure moves in from the west. Highs will be in the upper-50s and 60s. Winds will be from the east at 5-10 mph. Lows will be in the upper-40s to mid-50s.

Friday: An area of low pressure will move overhead, bringing cloudy skies with showers. Some areas of more concentrated rainfall are possible but some uncertainty remains with the location. Highs will be in the 50s and low-60s. Winds will be from the northeast at 5-10 mph. Lows will drop into the mid-40s to low-50s.

Weekend: Intervals of clouds and sun and dry conditions are expected after Friday’s system clears out. Highs will be in the upper-50s and 60s. Winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph. Lows will fall into the 40s and 50s.
