Summer-like conditions today will give way to showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening.  An unsettled weather pattern remains for the Easter and Passover weekend.

TODAY

A cold front will approach the region in the afternoon and evening with widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms.  The thunderstorms will be capable of brief heavy downpours, occasional lightning, and wind gusts over 45 mph.  Winds will veer from the southwest to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid-60s to lower 70s on Long Island, mid to upper 70s along the immediate coast, mid to upper 70s over the interior, and upper 70s to lower 80s along the I-95 corridor for highs.

TONIGHT

Showers and thunderstorms will exit in the late evening followed by clearing skies in the morning.  Winds will veer from the northwest to northeast at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

High pressure will produce clear skies with scattered clouds.  Winds will veer to the east at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-60s along the coast, mid to upper 60s over the interior, and upper 60s to lower 70s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

SATURDAY

A series of troughs will pass through the region with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s for lows and lower to mid-60s over the interior, upper 60s to lower 70s in the Delaware River Valley, and upper 50s to mid-60s along the coast for highs.

EASTER SUNDAY

A strong cold front will move through the region early on Sunday morning with scattered showers.  Scattered clouds with isolated showers will linger the rest of the day along with windy conditions.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies with scattered cloud cover.  Overcast cloud cover will develop in the evening with rain developing towards midnight.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-50s for highs.

TUESDAY

An area of low pressure will produce periods of rain, heavy at times.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s over the interior and upper 30s to mid-40s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to mid-50s along the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

High pressure will build into the region with scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid-50s to lower 60s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

High pressure will exit the region with increasing cloud cover expected.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 50s for highs.
